Norman aka Pepe Jay Norman was appearing as Juano in
the original Broadway production of "West
Side Story" when he was called upon to
appear in the Broadway engagement of Jerome
Robbins' "Ballets USA" for which he was
a principal soloist.
He returned to WSS
in the role of Pepe, and he appeared as Bernardo
in the 1964 New York City Center production and
on tour in Europe.
He also appeared
on Broadway in "Baker Street,"
choreographed by Lee Becker Theodore.
He has a number of
dancing credits for television, and as a
choreographer staged several musicals in Japan,
including "My Fair Lady."
