David
Winters aka A-Rab He originated the role of
Baby John on Broadway's West Side Story, and went
on to star as A-Rab in the movie version and in
other films as well. He also recreated Baby John
in an LA production, staged by Tony Mordente.
As a
choreographer, he was the force behind the
sexually-charged movements of Elvis and Ann
Margret, the award-winning musical journey of
Nancy Sinatra, and the revolutionary shakes of
the Hullabaloo Girl in The Cage. This catapulted
him into TV directing, which led to film
directing, and eventually film production.
Along the way, he
worked not just with Elvis, but also Barbra
Streisand, Raquel Welch, the Monkees, Alice
Cooper, and many more. He also picked up quite a
few awards, including a Peabody Award, a
Christopher Award, a few Television Festival
Awards, film festival awards, and six Emmy
nominations, and Audience Award for Best Picture
at the Bangkok Film Festival, 2002, for Welcome 2
Ibiza in which he starred, directed, and
produced.
